Selection of participants
Participants are selected through a competitive application process. The Advisory Committee will select 60 participants based upon the requirements below.

Interested candidates with training in fields such as medical, radiation, surgical and psycho-oncology, palliative care, pharmacology or related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Applications
Applications are available online from 1 November 2007 and will close on 28 February 2008

Only online applications will be considered.  No late applications will be accepted.

Applications must be written in English; proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.

Applications must contain the following components:

Title 30 words or less
Background (including problem, proposed intervention and rationale for trial 100 words or less
Study design and target populations 100 words or less
Outcomes (including primary and secondary outcomes used to evaluate intervention) 100 words or less
Feasibility (including number of patients, site and length of trial) 100 words or less

Applicants selected for the workshop will be notified in writing. In preparation for the Workshop, participants must prepare a background literature review for their clinical research concept and attend the Workshop prepared to develop the concept into a complete clinical trial protocol.
